Promotion of Tourism in Mountainous Areas

The Concept

Classic or conventional tourism is far from the modern character and the perspective of a constantly changing space reality. Today’s traveler is looking for new places and new ways of vacation, resulting in the development of new kinds of tourism, generally, known as alternative tourism.

promotion tourism 4Our proposal to promote tourism in mountain areas, initially with the identification and recording of hiking routes as well as the emergence of new modern channels, can be a pole of attraction for visitors as well as a point of reference for preserving the natural beauty and the historical character.

The visitor can get to know the area’s points of interest (historical, natural etc.) and thus have a different approach to the area with its long history and diverse natural beauties.

1) Tzoumerka

Focus on: Wild beauty, waterfalls, caves, gorges, rivers

Focus on: Stone traditional settlements, historical monuments, flora, local cuisine

– identification of the field – crossing the routes, recording and stamping – mapping of the routes on maps

– Detailed tracking of the route with all the necessary information a visitor needs

– videotaping: film, script, actors, athletes, walkers, tourists, etc., will be employed, modern audiovisual media will be also used

(a) general description of the course of the route and the main points through which it will pass. It will also describe its position and its role in terms of history and the natural environment.

(b) the basic technical characteristics of the journey, namely the total journey length, the path on a trail, on a dirt road, the state of the ground, the overall direction of the course, the estimated time of crossing, the height difference and the end of the journey route, the highest altitude difference observed in the route, if there is water, etc.
